Most people don't know how useful a cell phone can be in school. while using a cell phone in school can also be used Irresponsibly, it also can be good. like if a student missed school, a friend can text missed assignments to the student. The cell phone can be used for many other things, such as; using the calculator feature in math if you forgot your calculator in your locker, taking pictures of notes to copy down later, showing pictures of projects to parents. Margaret Kerr, a University of Pittsburgh professor and nationally recognized expert in school safety and discipline, had this to say about cell phones, schools will start to designate times when students are allowed to text and call, perhaps during recess or lunch, with the understanding that phones are put away during class. She suggests incorporating phones into the classroom experience, something she will do in her own classes at Pitt this fall.
